I AM A CORPORATE VETERAN TURNED SPEAKER, ADVISOR AND PODCASTER ON A MISSION TO HELP WOMEN WIN.

I left the corporate world after 17 years to pursue my passion of helping women thrive. I do this in 5 ways: through my podcast When Women Win, by running Ellevate Dubai, through keynote speeches, through workshops and as a strategic advisor to corporations on gender parity.

Born in England to a Palestinian father and Lebanese mother, I grew up like many Western-educated Arabs facing the dichotomy of liberal and traditional values. My Engineering degree at Oxford taught me to love problem-solving, and I've used this skill in every aspect of my life and corporate career, from McKinsey to the Dubai Govt to GE Capital. In 2011 I was jolted to the reality of gender inequality, and since then I have led the charge in rewriting policies and helping women rise in their professional and personal lives.

In 2017 I decided to focus my energy on empowering women and driving gender parity in the corporate world. I have spoken in front of mixed audiences on diverse topics and have been labelled a “thought-provoking”, “fact-driven” and “inspiring” speaker. I have hosted workshops on a variety of hard and soft skills. And I currently advise several multinational corporations on their inclusion strategies.

I am the president of Ellevate Dubai, a chapter of the world’s oldest businesswomen’s network, Ellevate. Most of my work hours goes into When Women Win, the Middle East’s chart-topping podcast - a show where female role models and boss ladies from around the world share their inspirational stories and practical tools they used to succeed. Season 2 kicked off with Beth Comstock and Sara Al Madani. Previous guests include Hala Gorani, Donna Benton, Mona Ataya, HRH Princess Tessy Antony, Dr. Auma Obama, and many more. When Women Win is now listened to in 144 countries on all podcast platforms. You can also catch it on any Emirates Airlines flight through their ICE entertainment system.

My media team would like you to know that I’ve been featured in the press, on TV and on radio; and that my articles have been published in Forbes, Huffington Post, The Tempest and GQ Middle East.
